Owning a lomo camera has become almost a right of passsage for most creative types: pre-lomo, you're just another person on the street. With a lomo {like a Holga or Diana}, you have a licence to go out and get really, truly inspired. It's a fantastic little gadget - a lucky packet of sorts when it comes to developing your film at the lab: I think Forrest Gump said it best when he exclaimed "you never know what you're gonna get". And that's the joy of it - life is full of inevitabilities: taxes, death, work, bills, children, etc. But with a lomo, you have to chuck all your pre-conceived notions of film photography out the window and sit back, relax and take whatever comes {through your view-finder of course}.
Here's a bit of inspiration for all you lomo users out there {or aspirant lomo users - whichever applies}. Amazing things can be done, and there are some pretty cool tutorials around that help you make the most of your lomography adventures.
xoxo,
Pippa
